Paul Heslop, Head of Construction, Goodman
Richard is our founder and Managing director, who set up Magrock in 2016, with a vision to make it a contractor with a difference. With almost 20 years of experience in the sector under his belt, including managerial positions with oversight of more than 100 employees, his knowledge of construction is deep and wide-ranging.
At Magrock, he retains overall responsibility for all company outputs, leading the vision for the business and a remit for business development. His track-record is backed up by numerous trade qualifications and a drive to deliver great work for clients.
In his free time Richard enjoys spending time with his family and watching his sons play rugby.
David is Construction Director and an active shareholder in the Magrock business. He has more than a decade’s experience in a variety of construction environments and has project-managed schemes with a value of £10m+.
David’s remit at Magrock includes overall responsibility for operational issues, with a keen eye for detail on our projects. He works closely with clients and subcontractors, to ensure that our projects are expertly managed, exceeding client expectations.
David enjoys spending time with his young family and renovating his house.
Kylie is Business Operations Director at Magrock and has been with the business from the start. She is responsible for day-to-day management of the business and handles all contract administration, accounts and HR responsibilities for Magrock. In addition, Kylie is responsible for our programme of staff training, and ensuring compliance with key industry measures.
Her position at Magrock follows a senior career of almost 20 years in the construction industry, whereby she’s had organisational responsibility for a workforce in excess of 100. Her experience places her perfectly to help Magrock during this phase of growth.
Outside of work Kylie enjoys spending time with her daughter and listening to live music.
Paul was appointed our Finance Director in January 2019 to assist with the continued organic growth of the business. He brings 25 years’ experience as a chartered accountant to this role, and his appointment is an investment in the continuing professionalisation and processes needed to facilitate our growth.
Paul will lead projects to improve the efficiency of our financial reporting systems, delivering value for our clients and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Paul enjoys walking in the countryside in his free time.
Dean has been with the business from inception and has overall responsibility for the estimating department. His role at Magrock includes tender and budget preparations and working closely with our clients and partners to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.
He brings a wealth of knowledge of the construction industry and is able to provide expert pre-construction advice to clients from a surveying and financial control point of view, ensuring that key targets are met and projects are delivered within budget.
Dean enjoys spending time with his family and socialising with friends in his downtime.
Robert joined Magrock as a Senior Surveyor at the beginning of 2019 to further strengthen our management team. Robert brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to our Commercial Department following a 20-year career in Surveying.
At Magrock Robert is responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects on all projects, using his positive approach and focus on procurement he ensures that the projects run smoothly and within budget.
Outside of work Robert can be found spending time with his young family or on the rugby pitch.
